Acid Cabinet – SS-4
Description
Ventilated acid cabinets are available in several designs and sizes. Split cabinets are available when both acids and bases must be stored. A fire-insulated chemical storage cabinet can also be placed on top of SS-4 where flammable goods need to be stored and space is limited. The acid cabinets are made from high-pressure laminate, with polypropylene collection drawers and bottom spill trays.

Corrosive substances must be stored below eye level.
Spill containment: Bunding must contain at least 10% of the total stored volume, but always at least the volume of the largest container (MSBFS 2023:2).
Ventilation: AFS 2023:10 30§: Storage cabinets must have mechanical ventilation where hazardous gases or vapours may be released from containers.
