Description
JiWa fire-insulated chemical storage cabinets are designed for the storage of flammable and hazardous chemicals. The cabinets have been tested by the Swedish testing institute SP with regard to ventilation. Models G2004B and G2006B with insulated backs have been tested against external fire in accordance with SP method 2369 and met the requirements for class 1.
The cabinets have adjustable shelves with raised edges and closed corners to prevent run-off in the event of a spill. A spill containment tray can also be fitted when larger containers are stored. A ventilation duct with extraction points ventilates the space between all shelves, with a Ø100 mm extract-air connection on the cabinet roof.
For storage of less than 500 litres of flammable goods with a flash point of 30 °C or lower within the fire compartment, these cabinets are a suitable choice. Spill containment: Bunding must be able to contain at least 10% of the total stored volume, but always at least the volume of the largest container (MSBFS 2023:2).
Ventilation: AFS 2023:10 30§: Storage cabinets must have mechanical ventilation where hazardous gases or vapours may be released from containers.
SP tests:
– Ventilation tested to verify through-flow and prevent leakage of chemical vapours. SP report 96E21227a.
– G2004B and G2006B with insulated backs tested against external fire in accordance with SP method 2369. SP report 98B1,0718 rev.
– Tested for safety, strength, durability and stability in accordance with EN 16121, EN 14073-2 and EN 14074.
– Moving-part strength in accordance with SS-EN 14074:2004.
– Determination of strength and durability ISO 7170:2005.
