Description
EI60 gas cabinets for outdoor use
Heavy-duty gas cabinets for the outdoor storage of gas cylinders. The cabinets are insulated to meet the requirements for EI60 fire separation, with a construction fire tested in accordance with NT Fire 017. Surface treatment in accordance with ISO 12944. The cabinets have a floor made from non-slip chequer plate and approved burglary protection in accordance with insurance class 2. Natural ventilation is provided through openings corresponding to 1% of the floor area, positioned both above and below the door leaf.
The cabinets can be equipped with accessories including ramps, straps for securing cylinders and floor heating, connected either by fixed installation or a 16 A industrial plug.
Standard colours: Blue RAL 5019, white RAL 9010, grey RAL 7037, black RAL 9005 and Berkley red.

According to the general guidance to MSBFS 2020:1, the following should be observed for outdoor gas storage:
Premises not accessible to the public
1. Up to 60 litres may be placed against a façade without fire separation, with no safety distance required from openings in the façade.
2. Cabinets containing 61–250 litres may be placed against a façade providing at least EI30 fire separation. A safety distance of one metre from openings in the façade* is then required. If the façade does not provide at least EI30 separation, a safety distance of 3 metres from the building applies.
3. Cabinets containing 251–1,200 litres may be placed against a façade providing at least EI60 fire separation. A safety distance of one metre from openings in the façade* is then required. If the façade does not provide at least EI60 separation, a safety distance of 3 metres from the building applies.
Premises accessible to the public**
1. Up to 60 litres may be placed against a façade without fire separation, with a safety distance of one metre from openings in the façade*.
2. For 61–250 litres, the same requirements apply as for premises not accessible to the public above.
3. For 251–1,200 litres, the same requirements apply as for premises not accessible to the public above.
*Openings in the façade include, for example, openable windows, doors and ventilation openings.
**Premises accessible to the public means premises to which the general public has access.
